The New Intern: Cakes' Predator

Hello cakes’ lovers and followers my name is Maria but my friends called me Betty. I am the new intern at Family Cakes Company and I am from Mexico but move to Wisconsin, the state with the most beautiful weather in the US.

I go to St. Norbert College in Wisconsin and study Global Business and Economics. I came to study in London as a “required” for my program…good excuse, is it not? I already have 2 months living in London and I love it. If I would be rich, I would love to live here for the rest of my life.

I feel that I will love my internship because I love the smell of the place and the people who work here look to be very cool. Also, I am a cakes’ lover and hopefully I can get some free cakes, but not too many because instead of climbing the stairs, I will round as a beach ball. I could eat a whole cake by myself and I consider myself as a cakes’ predator. Eating free cakes is not my only expectation, I also expect to learn transferable skills that I can use for my future career and get a better understand of the operation and management of business in London, with the help of my boss Daniel.

Valentines Day, thats for people who like each other isnt it??

It's that time of year again, the day of love will soon be upon us: what will you be doing for the one you love???
Here at the FCC we have been whipping up love by barrel full, so much so that poor old Vincenzo doesn't know which way to turn. Last week while preparing a Zumba Bum cake; yes that is correct  a Zumba Bum; he was all a jitter......

Yup I know...well he is a good chef!

Anna on the other hand has been making Marzipan hearts to her well heart's content!. As usual she is refusing to be photographed but I have a cunning plan which will put an end to this!

Anna...well her trainers!!
Yes that is correct whenever I want a picture of Anna I will take a pikkie of her footwear so much more photogenic and in this case very Valentininy! That word by the way does exist in my vocabulary!

As for Valentine's day I will be romancing my new bride,  whispering sweet nothings in her ear and hoping that she believes me...Well we do like each other after all....

I am the good looking one....She is very lucky to have me...

                                               Happy Valentine's Day everybody.......

New Year and New Beginnings

Happy belated New Year to you all. I hope you have enjoyed the festive period and are now ready to ease your way back in to the world of delightful treats and irresistible cakes.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrew and I will be working alongside Daniel at Family Cakes. With over 20 years experience in the catering industry I am hoping I will be able to bring something to the table and help Family Cakes grow. Over the coming months I will be in touch with all our regular customers and I very much looking forward to meeting many new ones.

I have lived in London for 16 years now after moving here from Australia. However the Aussie blood still flows thick so I will be more than happy to put together any sympathy cakes for the avid English cricketer supporters out there. Here is one example I have found.

For this and any other cake for birthday, anniversary, wedding. In fact any excuse at all.. I will be here to help. Valentines day is fast approaching so check out the website for some suggestions on special treats for the one you love.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page where I will keep regular posts going on all that is happening here at Family Cakes.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.
