Easter is on the way!

Easter is right around the corner! For some, this holiday is all about remembering the man who died for their sins, only to come back to life on this day a couple thousand years ago. And for others it's just about goodies the Easter Bunny will be bringing!

Sadly he doesn't typically bring cake... Do you see what I'm getting at here? No? Well then I'll lay it out for you. Cake is perfect for any holiday or celebration, and we have all the Easter themed cakes, cupcakes, chocolates and whatever else the Easter Bunny could provide. So we are basically saying that we are possibly better than that silly rabbit. (If he doesn't show up this Easter... well, we don't know what happened.....)

But let's be honest, Easter is about spending time with your family and being thankful. So from all of us at Family Cakes we would like to extend our wishes for a very happy and healthy Easter! With possibly a little cake on the side!

Mother Dearest

Remember that woman that carried you around for 9 months in her womb, and supported you financially for, well... let's be honest, she probably still does in some way. Who was that again? Oh yeah, your Mum!

It's that time of year again to celebrate the most important woman in your life. Mummy is and always will be there to help you through thick and thin. She is there with a band-aid when you scrape up your knee. She is there with life advice when you're down in the dumps. She is there to provide stability and happiness. Sometimes she is just smothering you with so much love that you can't get a break. But you know deep down that she is the best thing to ever happen to you!

We celebrate this upcoming Sunday as a tribute to all the amazing things our mums do for us! And what's the best way to show your mum how much you appreciate her? I'll give you a hint: it's CAKE! Well probably the second best way to show her... As I'm sure she would love a hug and kiss after all she has done for you! But all mothers love cake, right?? Right! And it's just about the best way to show her how sweet and lovely she truly is!

Now, we can't express how much appreciation we have for our Mums. The list would go on and on and still would never come close to how much recognition, happiness, and love she truly deserves. Be sure to thank your mothers not just this Mother's Day, but every day, because she loves you unconditionally and she's the only one you got!

To all the Mummys out there, have a wonderful Mother's Day from everyone at Family Cakes!

The Newest Intern is Here

Good morning everyone!

I'd like to introduce myself as the newest intern here at Family Cakes! My name is Brian Gabuzda, and I am a 3rd year student studying international business at Marist College in New York. I am very excited to start working under this company for the next two months.

A little bit about myself... I was born and raised at the New Jersey shore. Now, when I say this in the United States, people immediately think of the show Jersey Shore, which gives us a bad name! I promise, those from the REAL Jersey Shore are quite nice and don't spray tan themselves like they do on the show. But anyway, I am now 21 years old, finally of legal drinking age back in the States. I am the middle of 5 kids, and yes, the mythical "Middle Child Syndrome" exists! Things I enjoy in my spare time are playing tennis, and heading to the beach whenever I'm not drowning in my studies.

Moving to London has been a great experience so far. Being from New Jersey and going to school in New York, I travel into New York City from time to time. Although London and New York City are two of the most notorious cities in the world they are very, very different from each other. It's much cleaner here in London! The people here don't seem to be in such a rush and look less angry all the time! I will say, though, that I do miss those skyscrapers New York City is famous for.

I will be adding to and fixing up the social media outlets here at Family Cakes. This is my first internship but I have a feeling this will be the perfect place to start.

Any questions or comments don't be afraid to message in the comments section!

Until next time,
Brian Gabuzda
